Whether you are having your ceremony against our floral Summer House, inside the beamed John Haywood, or opting to have your service offsite, congratulations you're getting married! We are licensed across multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, giving you the freedom to choose the perfect spot to say 'I do'.
Spectacular stained glass windows, designed by famous 19th century Irish stained glass artist Harry Clarke, who used up to 35 shades of blue in some of the panes, create shimmering shafts of light. Complete with the original organ, wedding bells and a vaulted timber ceiling, the Harry Clarke provides a magnificent setting for your special day.
The John Hayward is the room below the Harry Clarke Suite and is licensed for civil ceremonies catering for 80 to 150 guests, before moving upstairs to the Harry Clarke for the wedding banquet. With a private terrace and the option of using the summer house overlooking the lake for the ceremony, the suite provides wedding parties with an exclusive self-contained wedding venue.
Adjacent to the John Haywood, you will discover the Richard Towneley Bar, a well-stocked and private space reserved for you and your guests. This charming bar offers an ideal setting for intimate moments, whether you’re enjoying a quiet catch-up with a loved one or reminiscing about your time on the dance floor.
The Courtyard behind the Richard Towneley Suite is surrounded by the stunning architecture of Ashdown Park's East Wing. Home to a catalpa tree, which changes hue with the seasons, and floral borders to provide a splash of colour to your photographs. This space is ideal for creating last memories.
