With our renowned reputation for outstanding service continuing to be a top priority, we recently named our 'Employee of the Year' at the annual staff party.
Becoming 'Employee of the Year' is no mean feat. Only the crème de la crème of staff are in line for the coveted title. The nominated staff are chosen throughout the year, on a monthly basis, by their own peers for 'Going the extra mile' and providing exceptional levels of service, which go beyond the call of duty. Ashdown's Heads of Department then decide who, from the pool of winners, is 'Employee of the Year'.
This year's winner was announced as Reception Shift Leader, Emily Kemp.
Emily has worked at Ashdown Park for 16 months and was thrilled to be recognised. Before joining Ashdown Park she studied at Hailsham Community College, completing A Levels in ICT and Business. She then worked for two years within the NHS before deciding on a change in career direction and joining the Ashdown team as Hotel receptionist. Emily has recently completed a Level 2 NVQ in Front Office Reception and is currently working through her Level 3 NVQ in Customer Service.
Commenting on her win, Emily said:
"I was in complete shock and although I felt honoured to win the award, I feel we all work very well as a Reception team and this should be awarded to us all, not just me as an individual."
Emily was awarded with a two night stay for two, with dinner, at any Small Luxury Hotel or Pride of Britain Hotel in England.
Ben Booker, General Manager, commented:
"It was clear that Emily's enthusism, commitment and willingness to assist all departments whenever she can make her the obvious choice for this year's award and we all congratulate her on her win."
Congratulations from us all Emily!
