Thank you as always to all who attended the Coffee Morning and helped raise another £124.10, in this their 15th anniversary year!
This month we welcomed Mikayla Bernstein, who has been with the charity for just over a year, to talk about how our fundraising is helping families and children who use Chestnut Tree House.
In total through our 18 coffee mornings held in support of the Chestnut Tree House, we have helped to raise just over £1,500.00.
Did You Know?
- The land the charity's centres are built on was donated.
- It costs around £3.9million to run the charity each year...

- Only 7% of the money to run Chestnut Tree House comes from the government.
Who do The Chestnut Tree House help?
The Chestnut Tree House charity supports children with medical difficulties and their families both at their centres and those who have care at home. They run a 24-hour telephone helpline, have a team of 30 staff including trained nurses covering West Sussex, East Sussex and Hampshire.
The charity has facilities at their centres for children up to around 19 years old and their families to use, such as: hydro baths, sensory rooms, wheelchair friendly woodland walks and garden. They also offer services such as respite, family stays, and counselling support, and arrange family experiences, with nurses attending, so they can enjoy activities such as a speedboat experience which otherwise wouldn't be possible.
Support is also offered to expectant mothers who have been informed that their baby might need additional help and families who have suffered the sudden loss of a child who may not have been involved with Chestnut Tree House previously.
